Bibbulmun Track Map & GPS

Welcome to Bibbulmun Track Map & GPS, where you'll find a full online Google map of the track, plus a downloadable GPX file.

I don't know why, but trying to find an online Bibbulmun Track map or GPS file has up until now been pretty well impossible...well I have never had a lot of luck.

Anyway, I thought I would do something about it. I have used GPX tracks from other track users, and have developed one GPX file comprising 17 tracks covering the complete Bibbulmun Track from Kalamunda through to Albany in Western Australia, including waypoints for each campsite. Each track has been reduced to under 500 track points to ensure it will work with a Garmin eTrex Vista HCX handheld GPS. Simply download the GPX file to your computer, import it into Garmin MapSource, and then transfer it to your GPS device. Note: if the file downloads with a .xml extension, just rename it with a .gpx extension.

NOTE THAT THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS, AND YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON THE GPS DATA ALONE. IF YOU ARE GOING OUT ON THE BIBBULMUN TRACK, I SUGGEST CARRYING A HARD COPY MAP ALSO.

The following are smaller files of each section hosted at biketoaster.com. They can be transferred direct to your Garmin devices, including Garmin Forerunner GPS watches. Click on the link, go to the "Summary Tab" and then select "Download to Garmin GPS: tcx" to transfer straight to your device. Make sure you name the course. These do not include campsite waypoints
